THE DRIVE UNIT IS THE MECHANICAL CORE OF CLARIFIER OR THICKENER THAT PRODUCES LOW SPEED HIGH TORQUE ROTATION OF THE SLUDGE COLLECTOR ARMS TO PERMIT POSITIVE SLUDGE COLLECTION AND REMOVAL FOR PROPER UNIT OPERATION.

FEATURES:

  • Motor directly coupled to the primary speed reducer.
  • High efficiency primary and secondary speed reducing units, conforming to AGMA Standards.
  • Main spur gear with simply supported pinion designed in conformance with the AGMA rating for 20 years of continuous operation.
  • Precision bearing of 4-point fully contoured raceway hardened to minimum 55 RC capable of withstanding overturning moment from uneven loading, and built in unison with the main gear. The balls are separated with plastic spacers. The bearing is equipped with a plug allowing replacement of the balls without disassembly of the unit.
    • The bearing’s B10 life is in the range of 100 years!
    • The precision bearings/main gear are commercially manufactured by companies utilizing a state-of-the-art technology in large diameter bearing production as utilized in other applications including cranes, excavators, loaders, wind turbine, many more.
  • Steel drive base is designed for strength with proper material thickness to assure rigidity and fatigue strength for proper support of the bearing ring while avoiding brittle failures and potential bad batch/pours.
  • Direct Mechanical torque measuring and indicating device with factory set limit switches allows transmission of a remote signal in case of impending excessive load.
